Christmas @ Indooroopilly Shopping Centre

We all love Christmas at Maree Davidson Art!!! And we love sharing the Christmas spirit with all of our beautiful customers as well – and what better place to do so than in a shopping centre!

Our shopping centre of choice for Christmas 2016 was Indooroopilly Shopping Centre in Brisbane. It was so exciting doing something so big for our customers. So… 21 Days was planned for the Christmas period.

We knew we were in for a mammoth amount of work, but we definitely were not expecting the reception that we got! Our customers were coming from all over to see us so that they could pick up a special gift for their family or friends – some were from Brisbane, others from places like Gatton and Cairns and everywhere in between… including interstate with some beautiful overseas fans!

Special Visit

I even had a special visit from one of my old students – Ben – who I hadn’t seen since around 2004! He was in primary school when I taught him, and now he is an accountant – and he told me he still paints!

It was so exciting for me to get out of the studio and into the shops and I got to meet so many lovely people face to face and made lots of new friends (including the lovely staff from our preferred café for those well-needed morning coffees!)
